Grounding & ungrounding and the altar space of it all

Here in Spain I’m awaiting about 15 boxes of things from the US that we shipped in August prior to leaving. And in some of those boxes are items from my altar. These items are a very important part of my grounding process, aside from nature time. Creating a sanctified sacred space where I go to sit every morning is one of the best spiritual support systems on the path of self mastery. It’s like an accountability space, a place which gains energetic momentum, becomes a pulsing vortex of all the prayers and centering rituals. Like a phone booth to Divine Communication. There is something so present in the altar space. A merging of the physical world with the unseen world. It’s quieter here. The chatter drops away, the emotions steady, and the beam of light from within grows stronger. Each time I visit my altar space I grow.

Currently I have a makeshift altar assisting me as I find my Spanish rhythm. Finding a spiritual cadence in a land that is foreign feels foreign! Part of the growth challenge is the adaptation to new soil with the needs of the roots which have been transplanted. In these situations keeping in resonance with the purity and authenticity of the spirit, honing in on the center point, can be like swimming upstream in a raging river. Being maneuvered by side currents (unseen forces), debris (obstacles in the path), sucked underwater (emotional whirlpools) is all part of the strengthening of the Spirit within. Part of the human fragility is felt when the (emotional/physical/or mental) landscape loses the shape of the comfortable structure we are use to. We experience an unearthing and the exposure of what’s been hidden beneath the surface can be both expansive and contracting. These two principles are opportunities of energetic transfromation, from instability to stabilization. All fuel for growth.

Question. In what part of your life now are you experiencing this?
